COLLEGE PROSPECTUS
Regular programmes are run solely by CCEM at various College Lecture Centres while irregular ones, including short courses are often organized by the College in partnerships with other Institutions, Organizations like Churches or Missionaries at Partners’ Venues or Designated Lecture Centres.
CEMS SHORT COURSES
1-Month Basic Christian Orientation: This short course offers only CEMS certificate of participation. The course offers the following subjects: (i) Study Of The End – Time Dangers (ii) Salvation – A Product Of Evangelism (iii) Doctrine Of Christian Leadership: CCEM Course 04 and (iv) Leadership Character: CCEM Course 05.
This short course which also offers only certificate of participation includes the above and the following subjects: (i) Practice Of Christianity: Christianology 1: CCEM Course 01 (ii) Evangelism Methodology: CCEM Course 02 (iii) Introduction To Upper Room / House Fellowships: The Use Of Illustrative Sermon Books.
Basic Ministries: This may or may not attract CCEM certificate, depending on if the student sits for prescribed examinations or not. This programme includes all items A-B and the following subjects: (i) Christian Basic Ministries: CCM 03 (ii) Christian Oral Communications: CCEM Course 07 (iii) Basic Principles Of Leadership.
6-Month Certificate Course In Value Education Under The Institute Of Christian Education And Ministries: This course is designed for qualified teachers who will teach the subject and present papers on Family, Moral and National Values in schools and other places. Subjects in this special course include: (i) Communication Art: CCEM 11 (ii) Four Human Temperaments: CCEM 26 (iii) Principles Of Christian Counselling: CCEM 10 (iv) Basic Principles Of Leadership: CCEM 27 (v) Leadership And Other Roles Of Teachers: CCEM 28 (vi) Christians Ministries And Education Methodology: CCEM 29
COLLEGE OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AND MISSIONS (CCEM) COURSES
These courses which may offer CCEM certificates and or the certificates of its affiliated institutions are also sometimes organized in partnerships with Churches, institutions, ministries, missionary and other organizations at Partners’ Venues or Designated Centres.
1-Year Certificate Courses: All CCEM certificate students must go through all the subjects in 6-Month course as in all the items A-C, sit and pass prescribed examinations within six months.
In addition to the above, other subjects to be studied within 3 months under each of the courses are as follow:
1) Certificate In Christian Education Under The Institute Of Christian Education And Ministries: (i) Leadership And Other Roles Of Teachers: CCEM 28 (ii) Christian Education Methodology: CCEM 06 (iii) Communications Art: CCEM 30 (iv) Homiletics: CCEM 08.
(2) Certificate In Missions And Evangelism Under The Institute Of Missions And Evangelism: (i) Missions And Outreach Ministries: CCEM 09 (ii) Communications Art (iii) Homiletics: 08.
(3) Certificate In Couselling Ministries Under The Institute Of Christian Education And Ministries: (i) Principles Of Christian Counselling: CCEM 10 (ii) Communication Art: 30 (iii) Homiletics.
(4) Certificate In Christian Communi-cation Arts And Evangelism Under The Institute Of Missions And Evangelism: (i) Communications Art: 30 (ii) Home School And Human Temperaments: CCEM 26 (iii) Homiletics: CCEM: 08
In addition to the subjects, all students must go through 3-month practical experience and industrial attachments.
- 2-Year Diploma Courses: In the first year of these courses, diploma students must complete all 1-year Certificate subjects in courses that are relevant to each of them. In the second year of their studies, they are expected to begin and complete within 5 months these subjects that are general to them: (i) Ministries Of Improvisation: CCEM 12 (ii) Christian Leadership: CCEM 13 (iii) Christian Potentials: Christianology 2: CCEM 11 (iv) Christian Human Resources CCEM 15 (v) Successful Christianity: Christianology: 3 CCEM 13 (vi) Evangelism And Upper Room Or Home

PLEASE NOTE: Immediately students are admitted, based on their levels of education either to run short courses or 1-year Certificate or 2-year Diploma programmes, they begin their practical with the use of CCEM resource materials. They are to serve with affiliated partners either in Schools or Churches or Elder People’s Homes or Office or Prison Fellowships or other missions fields.
